Alex's Blessing

Earlier this month we had the opportunity to have all our family together for the blessing of Alex Paul Brauner (my cousin Traci and husband Derek's little man). Alex and Ali are about two months apart, but look more like brother and sister then second cousins. We had a beautiful day and it was wonderful to have our entire family together. Traci and Derek traveled all the way from CA to visit and we certainly appreciate being able to spend time with them. All the kids had such a good time together and hope we can do this again soon. Right now my grand parents have six great grandchildren and number seven on the way.
We also tried very hard to get all the kids together for a group picture...but as you can see that wasn't easy. Poor Koen wasn't feeling well and each little one would turn to check out different things. Maybe at the next group gathering we can try for another picture.

Our Upcoming Basketball Star

Hailey is showing a HUGE interest in basketball. I'm sure it has everything to do with High School Musical, but she truely loves the idea of playing. So this weekend we headed to the basketball court and she had a great time. She is no longer happy with the junior size basketball hoop from Papa and Nona, so know Mommy and Daddy have to figure out a way to buy a "real" basketball hoop. According to Hailey, if you pave the driveway, you get one free...nice thought. Ali enjoyed being a cheerleader for sissy. And she finally said, Mama today! I'm so excited!
The picture of Hailey in her room was our project last weekend. She has been doing some very big girl things and earned her very own High School Musical room. Today we added the pictures. We can't believe how much she has grown.

Ali's Getting Vocal

Daddy decided to enjoy some time with the video camera while Hailey and I were at tap class. Once again, our child's first words are "Dada".....I thought I might luck out and get "MaMa"first. Oh well, at least when I say mommy to her I get a big smile.

Just a few pictures from today. Ali has been sitting on her own for about a month and she is loving the new independance. She is also starting to scoot around instead of just rolling to her toys. I might have a few days before she is full blown crawling. Hailey is now officially ready for Kindergarden. Kirt and I can hardly believe that she will be going to kindergarden in the fall. Time is just getting away from us.
